For this release, we found that the skin detail layer compression was one of our primary culprits for the blotchy artifacts and ashy appearance of darker skin tones. The first steps of which are part of this release – we did a thorough investigation of our skin tone pipeline (how it gets from artist to player), to identify where we can improve our process. Sims 4 latest update: Full patch notes for 6 October 2020 Remember that you will need to re-enable your script mods and CC after starting the game up again. Most of the updates deal with fixing bugs, but we’ll be diving into debug to see if there’s anything else a bit later on. It was a biggie – almost 670MB in total size for PC. The patch notes below are taken from the official Sims 4 site. Announced during a surprise live stream on Monday, new recipes, CAS items, music and build/buy items have been added in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

This update for The Sims 4 also includes some freebie content. This will repair existing skin tones in the game with a much larger update – which will also include a skin tone slider – set to be rolled out later in the year. Part of the update, for PC anyway, includes part one of improvements to the game’s skin tones.
